The Saginaw bay is only 7 miles away and you can drop you boat in the bay at Eagle Bay Marina and catch walleyes and perch. Take a short drive to AuGres which offers everything from harbor town to Saginaw bay, unique shopping, enjoyable dining, parks, beaches, and excellent access to the bay. 

If you want to hang at the beach for the day, East Tawas State Park is only a 30 minute drive and offers an awesome beach on Lake Huron.  Tawas Bay offer spectacular scenery, outdoor recreational opportunities, festivals, arts and craft shows, shopping, dining, and more can be found along Tawas Bay.

Saganing Eagle's Landing Casino is now open located only 9 miles away! With over 32,000-square-foot facility the with more than 700 slot machines and 40 electronic table games the new Saganing Eagle Casino is a welcome addition to the area.  
 
Our cabin is located in Omer, Michigan which is home to the Rifle River, one of the most popular streams in the entire state on summer weekends. Both canoeists and tubers flock to this attractive, easygoing northern river on summer weekends. It possesses a mild current, long sections of sandy riverbed, and plentiful swimming holes, all of which make the stream a good option for families and other groups looking for an undemanding float. The Rifle is also attractive, winding past pretty woodlands, summer cottages, and quiet farm fields for much of its length as it makes its way to its outlet at Saginaw Bay. And finally, it is easily accessible. Access is minutes away, making it easy for vacationers to organize trips that can range in length from a few hours to a couple of days. All of these factors create flotillas of rental canoes and inner tubes on summer holidays and June-through-August weekends.
